New Leaders Summit -- July 25th - For first-time administrators new to Montana and those that are in new roles in their schools & districts, and for those relatively new administrators who would like a refresher.
•Induction, Mentoring and Professional Development activities for the leader new to their administrative role.
•SAM Leaders Professional Learning Program (LPLP) Providers (Coach/Mentors) and Mentor Program  Director, Godfrey Saunders will coordinate opportunities to become connected to the SAM LPLP Mentor  Program.
•Expect “1st 100 days” resource development, networking with resource providers, time management, school  law, school finance, and roundtable discussions with administrators experienced in the role of superintendent,  principal, special ed director and tech director.
 
MTASCD Summit -- Leading Learning Organizations -- July 25thFor ASCD Members, Curriculum Directors and Educators across Montana that want to understand profound professional learning, collaboration and teacher engagement. 
•PLC Speaker Tom Unwin (CEO, JK Thomas & Associates) will present Profound Professional Learning, 4 Essential Elements of School Improvement, Assessing Collaborative Capacity, and An Action Plan to Get Results.
•MTASCD Annual Membership Meeting
•ASCD Resources and Speaker Walter McKenzie (ASCD Constituent Service Director) will provide an ASCD Overview and Ed Camp round table discussion.

New Leaders Summit -- For first-time administrators new to Montana and those that are in new roles in their schools & districts, and for those relatively new administrators who would like a refresher. Topics include presentations by the new SAM Leaders Professional Learning Program, OPI, the First 100 Days in Your Position, School Law 101, School Finance 101, Finding the Resources you Need, and Role-A-Like sessions. A must for all administrators new to their position!

Instructional Leadership Summit -- For administrators, educational leaders, teachers, and all individuals who support the education of Montana’s children! 
Day 1 features International Center for Leadership in Education Senior Consultant, Dr. Jim Warford, engaging the Summit participants with “Addressing Today’s Educational Challenges … Achieving Focus in the Midst of Initiative Overload.” Daggett Group ICLE research will help all educators use emerging trends to face down the overwhelming challenges that consume the agenda in so many schools.  This is a must to help you launch the 2015-16 school year in positive, productive way with your school team!  
 
Day 2 of the Instructional Leadership Summit begins with Paul Andersen, international speaker and 2011 Teacher of the Year keynote -- “Future Proofing Your School!” Although the scientific method allows us to unlock the secrets of the universe it falls short in providing solutions to difficult problems, like effective instruction.  A more appropriate solution can be found in the process of design.  Paul will share global strategies that can help school leaders position their schools to compete in an ever-changing educational landscape.  He will also introduce the process of design thinking as a tool for improving your schools today.  The Summit continues with Focus Zones, clearing the fog to allow you to dig deep into educational topics that will make a difference in your areas of interest and need.    Focus Zones include:
Technology; School Safety/Energy/Operations; Innovation; and Contemporary Issues and more.

21st Century Leadership Institute (21 CLI) Summit
-- For administrators interested in improving student learning in their school and district using innovative professional learning through the SAM 21 CLI!  Join the group of passionate administrators who are using this innovative program with supports from the Leaders Professional Learning Program Providers, to create educational success.  This is a must attend session to help 21 CLI members orientation to the program, review the 21 high quality content webinar lessons, connect with their LPLP Provider and begin development of a project that will make a difference for the students in their school or district.
